Open Rank Tenure Track position in Translation Studies / Translating Spanish-English, (Professor or Associate Professor, preferred; Assistant Professor, considered)
The Department of World Languages & Cultures at Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis invites applications for an open rank tenure-track position in translation studies/ Spanish-English translation. Teaching experience in Spanish for Specific Purposes and interpreting is highly desirable. Teaching duties will include courses in Spanish-English translation and interpreting in the undergraduate Certificate in Translation Studies and the proposed M.A. program in Translation Studies.
Minimum qualifications: Ph.D. in Spanish, Translation Studies or cognate area by start of appointment, August 1, 2015; native or near-native proficiency in Spanish; and evidence or demonstrated promise of outstanding research, teaching, and service.
